At 11:23 on March 27th, the 40020 train, loaded with more than 2500 tons of aluminum ingots, slowly drove out of the Guangxi Baise East Railway freight yard and is expected to arrive at Guangdong Danzao Station after 29 hours of operation to meet the production needs of local aluminum profile enterprises. This is the first "point to point" aluminum product container direct train from Guangxi Baise.
Baise is known as the "Aluminum Capital of the South" and is an important bauxite and aluminum industry base in China. In recent years, Baise City has vigorously promoted the "secondary entrepreneurship" of the aluminum industry and continuously expanded the intensive and deep processing of aluminum. The annual production capacity of aluminum oxide has reached 11.3 million tons, and the annual production capacity of aluminum processing has reached 3.53 million tons. Most of the locally produced aluminum products are sold to the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
"Relying on the transportation advantages of large railway capacity, all-weather, low cost, and high efficiency, we will open up a direct transportation channel from Baise, Guangxi to Foshan, Guangdong, to improve the overall transportation efficiency. The transportation time limit of the train is up to 29 hours, further opening up the export channel of aluminum products in Baise." Chen Zhiwu, General Manager of Guangxi Academy of Sciences Aluminum Co., Ltd., said that the aluminum industry in Baise has undergone more than 30 years of development, The entire industrial chain from bauxite to aluminum processing to recycled aluminum has been formed, with an output value of over 100 billion yuan, becoming a pillar industry for the economic development of Baise City.
In order to ensure the smooth operation of the train, the Nankun Freight Center dynamically grasps the production situation and transportation needs of the enterprise, strengthens coordination and linkage from the aspects of operation planning, container source allocation, transportation organization, and so on. Through providing sufficient machinery and labor in advance, it coordinates and solves the problems existing in the aspects of cargo short lightering, container loading, and vehicle loading, and continuously optimizes and adjusts the aluminum product container loading operation process to ensure rapid loading and transportation of goods, as well as the completion of transportation.
The opening of the aluminum product container direct train not only broadens and deepens the logistics and transportation channels for Guangxi's aluminum products to "go global", improves the ability of railways to serve regional economic development, but also speeds up the construction of a new dual cycle development pattern for the development of domestic aluminum industry, effectively promoting the integration of Baise into the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and promoting regional economic integration and industrial coordinated development in Guangxi and Guangdong. In the future, the regular operation of the train will be formed, and it is expected that more than 10000 tons of aluminum products will be transported to Guangdong by rail every month.
