UK Reconsiders Anti Dumping Measures Against China On Aluminum Profiles

Apr 10, 2023

Last December, the Secretary of State of the Department of International Trade of the United Kingdom accepted the TRA's proposal to impose a new anti-dumping duty on aluminum profiles exported from China to the United Kingdom, and made a relevant decision.

The British Trade Relief Agency (TRA) has begun to reconsider its proposal to impose anti-dumping duties on aluminum profiles originating in China. Upon completion of the reconsideration process, the TRA will make a decision to maintain or change the original proposal and notify the Minister of Commerce and Trade.

Last December, the Secretary of State of the Department of International Trade of the United Kingdom accepted the TRA's proposal to impose a new anti-dumping duty on aluminum profiles exported from China to the United Kingdom, and made a relevant decision. Subsequently, TRA received an application from a British manufacturer to reconsider the relevant recommendations. The manufacturer provided new information that may affect the initial investigation results of TRA, claiming that the anti-dumping duties imposed did not accurately reflect the level of harmful dumping, and also believed that this measure should not exclude large aluminum profiles.
